The World Sees Houthi Attack on Israeli Airport, but is still blind to Islamist assault on Christians of Yemen.
The link between the Islamist assault on the Jews and the fate of black and Arab Christians is not generally understood.
The recent successful Houthi missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport , has
captured world attention, and rightly so. The Houthis who rule Yemen are part of
Iran’s “noose” around the Jewish state which faces a 7 front war, and bombing of
Israel’s only airport was a significant blow. It has caused many international airlines
to suspend service, and has provoked a significant counter strike by Israel which
has all but destroyed Yemen’s port Hodiedah, the second-largest port in the
country, after Aden.
And yet, the other part of Yemen’s story, it’s subjugation of its own Christian
population, which explains so much of the Muslim world’s assault on Israel and the
West, gets no attention. The fact is, like in so many countries in the Middle East
and Africa, while life is very hard for everybody, it is even harder for Christians.
As reports from Open Doors – an organization that helps Christian
communities under siege – show, in the areas in Yemen ruled al-Qaeda and
the so-called Islamic State, Christians fear for their lives. In Yemen, the official
constitution upholds Sharia (Islamic law) and there is no freedom of religion.
“Relief aid is mostly distributed through local Muslim groups and mosques,
which are alleged to be discriminating against anyone not considered a
devout Muslim.”
Any person reported to be a Christian and or involved in Christian activities,
could face severe monitoring, arbitrary detention, torture, ill-treatment and
even murder. In Houthi-controlled areas it's dangerous to possess a Bible or
other Christian books. A Muslim who converts to Christianity can be
disinherited, divorced, lose custody of his or her children, or even be
murdered.
As the Iran-backed Houthis have gained more power, dozens of house
churches can no longer meet. Many Christians have fled the country.
Christians who live in Houthi-held areas live under the strictest prohibitions
against Christianity. With a high degree of monitoring and spying, it's very
difficult for Christians to meet up in person and online. Christians trying to
survive in places where al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State have power
are also in danger of being discovered and killed.
With the rise of Houthis to power, especially after the Hamas attack on Israel on
October 7, 2023, Yemen has, according to Open Doors, become “the third-most
dangerous place in the world for Christians.”

First they come for the Saturday people, then they come for the Sunday people. But sometimes they come for both at the same time.
When clicking the link why does it specify that this group hopes to help the Black people who are suffering from Jihad? I realize the majority of people in Africa are black, but shouldn’t it just simply say all victims of jihad? Not supporting if it isn’t all inclusive. I have subscribed to the group some time ago, and I support its efforts, but I sincerely hope they are all inclusive.
